Avery is a fashion merchandising major, pursuing a minor in public relations and marketing. She just came back from a semester studying abroad with Kent's program in Florence, Italy! This summer she's interning in NYC with Lovely Bride. They have 12 locations in the US but their offices and first store are located here in New York. She is essentially working their internship in office operations. But on the weekends she gets to be a stylist for them and help brides find their wedding day look.
"Ever since a young age I have been so passionate about bridal, but never thought I would get the chance to pursue it. But through working hard and taking every opportunity I could, I have been able to "chase my dreams." Through my experiences of past internships and going to bridal markets across the country I have been able to grow in my career and be constantly reminded of why I am so passionate about this industry."
Her career aspirations after college are truly to go wherever her career takes her. She left her hometown of Wichita, Kansas to receive an education from one of the best schools in her field and to do what she's passionate about. She is hoping to get a job with a bridal company and potentially work with their marketing or all things involving market and sales overall.
"Going to Kent was the best decision I have ever made, and my other best decision was finding my home in Delta Gamma. These women have helped make me the women I am today, and I truly would not be the person have evolved to be without each and every single one of them."
Get to know Avery and the sisters of Delta Gamma along with the rest of the Greek community at Blastoff welcome weekend, August 27th from 6-8:30 p.m. on Risman Plaza on campus!
