Dear DG –
Last fall, I stood in front of a bunch of new members who had no idea who I was, assuring them that no amount of dues could ever repay Delta Gamma for all it’s given me throughout my collegian years. As I get ready to start my senior year, no statement could be more true.
I started this whole sorority thing a little late in the game, as I went through formal recruitment as a sophomore. My collegiate days in DG are now numbered to a mere 312* days and with that I’m both excited and terrified. Before a few days ago, I was only terrified because I didn’t know all that Delta Gamma had to offer post grad. That is until I boarded a plane and took off for Phoenix, Arizona along with close to 1000 other women who hold bronze, pink and blue close to their heart. Now, I see endless possibilities when it comes to my alumnae time in Delta Gamma.
Regardless, it is still so difficult to imagine a time where 1068 Fraternity Circle is not set as ‘home’ on my phone. The true beauty of our house, can be found within the women inside. The women inside that house have lifted me up on my worst days and supported me at my highs – there is no better feeling then being surrounded by your sisters. I am continuously inspired by every woman in our chapter – being fearless in their endeavors and flawless while pursuing them. Continuously making me ask myself if I am giving my all to the fraternity that I hold so high.
To Gamma Epsilon, thank you for continuing to give me something so precious to look forward too throughout the summer months and the long breaks. Our sisterhood is strong and the energy is contagious. Thank you for making me want to be the best version of myself. It is my true hope for all of you, that wherever you find yourselves in this crazy world, you will always take a small piece of Gamma Epsilon with you.
Xo,
Prez Tay
