Hello beautiful sistas! With my senior Bid Day already behind me, I find myself reminiscing on my time in Delta Gamma as a collegiate member. Rewind to Fall 2016, my freshman year and first few months of college, I was a VERY shy, unconfident teenager. Being an only child, I signed up for recruitment to meet new friends and finally have sisters. Throughout recruitment I kept looking to the members of Delta Gamma thinking, “I would love to be a part of their sisterhood”. All the women I talked to seemed so confident and so genuine, I wanted to be like them. Fast forward to October of 2016, I finally found my big, Sydney Yannuzzo, she really pushed me to become the best version of myself. She motivated me to take my first position, new member communicator, which she had also had. With this position, I became so close to our Fall 2018 member class. This being my first leadership role in the chapter, I was nervous but I grew, and started to see myself becoming more confident and gaining some leadership qualities. Now, I am our Vice President of Finance on CMT. With my position, I oversee all the chapter budgets and make sure our officers stay on track each semester. After a year on CMT, I can truly say that Gamma Epsilon has pushed me to become the leader I was meant to be. Without this sorority and these women, I would not have become who I am today. This chapter pushed me to be myself and be proud to wear my letters every day. I cannot wait to see where Delta Gamma will take me in these next few months and beyond, because it’s not for four years, it’s for life!
LITB,
Momo
