Mom’s day is definitely one of my favorite days that our chapter puts together for us. This year, we went to a Floral Arrangement class and got to put together a beautiful bouquet of flowers with our moms. This experience was so different than anything our chapter has done before and it was definitely something I will never, ever forget!! The floral arrangements we all made were absolutely stunning and it was so great learning how to properly design a bouquet to make sure it turns out perfect. The Florist shop even incorporated our own flower, the cream colored rose, in each of our arrangements. It meant so much to all of us. My mom has always been a hands-on creator: she’s super crafty, she's eloquent and she's one of a kind, just like our arrangement was. Seeing how excited my mom was to do something together, made me so happy that we got to do something we both adore doing. My mom has given me so much in my life and it was so nice that DG was able to give me and my sisters a day that we could give back to our moms.
My mom means the entire world to me. Having the opportunity for my friends and their moms to meet my whole world is everything to me. Yesterday reminded me that life is so precious and valuable. Any chance we get to enjoy and make memories with your mom and your college friends, you need to take it. Embrace it and cherish them!
To my best friends, thank you for embracing my mom like your own and for bringing your moms into my life! I am so lucky to have shared this beautiful day together and I can’t wait for all of us to have our fabulous moms together again.
To my lovely mom, thank you for an absolutely unforgettable day. We created an incredible flower arrangement and we took Kent State by storm!! I will cherish the memories we made yesterday forever. You are my biggest support system, my biggest fan, and my biggest role model. I aspire to be half the woman that you are when I grow up and I am so thankful for everything you have taught me. You are my everything and so much more!
