Hi everyone!!

My name is Sam, I am currently a senior majoring in Public Communications. I was a freshman in 2016 and decided to not go through recruitment my first year, but when my freshman year came to an end I wanted something more out of college. I wanted closer friends and a home away from home. I decided to go through recruitment in fall 2017.

Recruitment as a whole was an amazing experience because I went in with an open mind and ready to find the perfect place for me to call home. When I walked into the doors of Delta Gamma I was greeted by a women I will never forget, Avery Niernberger. Many women in our sorority would know Avery as this loving individual who would make you feel important through anything you would say. After talking with Avery and seeing the Delta Gamma house that's when I knew this place would be my home away from home. I felt safe and felt like I had a connection with every women that approached me. After leaving the doors of the "DEEG" I knew I had to live in that very house, and I did in Fall 2018 and Spring 2019. I made the bestest of friends with so many women who lived in that house with me, women that will one day be my bridesmaids. Before joining Delta Gamma I had never had a group of women who were so up lifting and always there for me.

As I start my final year at Kent State University and my final year being an active member of Delta Gamma, I can truly say that I wouldn't of had such an amazing and enjoyable time without the help of Delta Gamma and having my Sisters along this journey. Thank you to all of the amazing member of Delta Gamma for pushing me to do good, without them I’m not sure where I would be!
