Hey guys!
My name is Emma Konkus! I’m currently a junior and a nursing major. I was scared to go through recruitment because I did not know how I was going to balance school, sorority life and family. Little did I know that my family was going to expand by 130+ sisters. I love that DG has girls in all different majors. We all support one another because we are different from one another. Becoming a Delta Gamma was the best experience of my college career!
When I first walked in to the DEEG I felt comfortable and welcomed by all the girls. On the sisterhood day of recruitment I met Sam Skowron. Sam asked me one question “what are you passionate about” and I responded “I’m very passionate about St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and raising money to find a cure for cancer”. Sam had the same passion for St. Judes as I do. When we talked I felt like I knew her forever and time went so fast when we talked. I felt like she was a friend from back home! I knew from that point forward that Delta Gamma was more than a sorority, it was a family!
I’m so excited for the next two years at KSU as a DG. I can’t wait so see all my sisters in just a few weeks! This year I want to become more involved with our chapter and make a difference at KSU!
LITB,
Emma Konkus
