Raigen McGranahan is a senior member of the Delta Gamma chapter and holds the VP of Social Standards position. Raigen was truly a perfect candidate to represent Gamma Epsilon at the Annual Delta Gamma Convention held in Palm Desert California as she has a strong passion for our chapter and making it the best it can be. Raigen is a kind hearted, compassionate, and loving woman who holds true to all of the values that Delta Gamma embodies.
Delta Gamma's 71st Biennial Convention took place June 27th - 30th at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, California. Throughout the convention, many awards were given out, genuine connections and bonds between past and present Delta Gamma members were made, and there was so much insight into the history of Delta Gamma. I was able to ask Raigen about her time spent at the convention. Here's what she had to say about her experience:
“Being so fortunate to be loved by so many empowering women was truly evident this weekend as I attended the convention. Celebrating 150 years of sisterhood dedicated to learning, growth, and inspiring others to achieve greatness in philanthropy, particularly in raising awareness and providing assistance for the visually impaired. At the convention, I had the opportunity to network with collegians and alumnae from across the country. I especially enjoyed connecting with past Gamma Epsilons now spread far and wide from Ohio! We celebrated the organization's accomplishments, voted to elect new leadership, and amended our Constitution. I am incredibly proud of our chapter, as we received both Regional and National Awards. Our chapter won the Region 4 award for Excellence in Philanthropy: Fundraising, having raised over $18,000 for service for sight, as well as a member of our chapter Paige Orahood our VP: Finance won the award for Financial Excellence! We were also honored with the national Runner-up for Chapter of Excellence!! Additionally, we received the PPD award for excellence in meeting the Fraternity's Standards. I am so proud of Gamma Epsilon for all of their hard work they put into this chapter! This experience was truly transformative, highlighting the impact Delta Gamma can have, providing numerous professional connections and lifelong friendships. I will forever cherish this experience and my membership in DG! LITB💗”
