Welcoming MC Fall '21

The Fall 2021 member class of Gamma Epsilon is the first member class we've recruited and initiated in person since the pandemic. Having an in-person experience with our new members this semester was so special for us and completely exceeded our expectations. We are so happy to have welcomed 31 new members into our sisterhood!

These women are passionate, excited, and already making such special connections with their new sisters. They've gotten their big sisters and new fams who have been welcoming them into our chapter with open arms. We love seeing how enthusiastic our new members are to join the Do Good sisterhood, and as of this past Saturday, they're officially members of our chapter!

We welcome all 31 initiated new members into the Gamma Epsilon chapter of Delta Gamma:

As our chapter's VP of Member Education, Gabby DiTurno has been working with this group of women since the start, from Bid Day to their weekly new member meetings. When asked about her experience with our new members, Gabby said:

"This year I had the opportunity and privilege to serve as the chapter’s Vice President of Member Education. I’ve got to be involved every step of the way, from welcoming them home to DG to initiating them into our chapter. Taking on this position has been so rewarding because, in the last few months, I have seen all 31 of these girls start to grow into the best versions of themselves. As a senior who is very sad to leave Kent State, thank you to all of the newly initiated members of the Gamma Epsilon chapter. You have made my time so special and I will always be cheering you on!"

Sidney Howard, our Director of New Member Communications, had this to say about working with our new members:

"I have absolutely loved serving as the Director of New Member Communications and getting the opportunity to know the amazing girls of MC ‘21! These are some of the kindest and most devoted women I have ever met and I know they will do amazing things for this chapter! This member class never fails to speak up during the new member meetings, chapter, and DG Dialogues and to talk about the big things in life. During one of the first DG Dialogues of the semester, our chapter talked about mental health and how we can better support our sisters. Instead of being shy, the new members were open and shared some inspiring stories with our chapter! I am constantly amazed by their bravery, grace, and dedication to Gamma E. MC’ 21 is the future of our chapter and I have to say… we are in pretty good hands!"

We can't wait to see what this amazing group of women does in Gamma Epsilon. They've already exceeded our expectations, and we know we've got some wonderful leaders among this group. We're so grateful for our 31 new sisters!
