The start of the fall semester at Kent State University is coming up in just a few months and that means it’s almost time for fall recruitment! As you enter recruitment, be prepared to make everlasting bonds and share ideals and responsibilities that will help you learn and grow as a whole.
Kent State’s Delta Gamma creates an encouraging environment that makes everyone feel welcomed and supported. We maintain high values of friendship and social responsibility as well as promote educational and cultural interests. As we near the first day of recruitment on September 3rd, Delta Gamma will patiently wait with open arms to welcome a new member class to the Gamma Epsilon chapter. But before we rush into anything, here's what some of the girls in the chapter have to say about why they went DG!
"My why DG started in the 2021 spring semester. I was feeling disconnected from Kent and hadn’t met many college friends. Overall, covid just made me feel like I needed to make a change. I decided to go through informal recruitment, and that was the best decision I’ve made all of college. After information night I was still on the fence because I never saw myself as a “sorority girl” but after talking to girls in DG, I quickly realized that this was a place I belonged. No one was the typical “sorority girl” I had imagined, everyone made me feel so welcomed and I loved getting to know the other girls who were going through spring recruitment (shoutout to my Deeg roommates!). Every day I find a new reason why I chose dg and why I love being a part of this chapter."
- Jenny Campbell
"Because I felt nothing but welcomed when talking to every person in Delta Gamma. Many people seemed very down to earth and most importantly, I chose DG because there are many members that I look up to and want to be like. Surround yourself with people you want to be like to become more like those people!"
